Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Akagera National Park
Drive to Akagera National Park passing through Rwanda’s phenomenal landscapes and living lifestyles start your morning game drive, which takes you on tops of rolling hills surrounded by beautiful lakes from the south up to the north, on top of a hill when watching a magic view of 3 lakes in the same time. where you will surprise buffaloes and elephants drinking. Some are home to some species of birds like Egyptian goose and fishing eager. Have a picnic lunch in the park then continue with the hills game drive. Here you meet all animals known to be living in a game park: impalas, zebras, bushbucks, waterbucks, tops, orbits, baboons, giraffes, cape elands, and so many others. Take a boat trip on Lake Ihema in the afternoon

Day 2: Full Game Drive And back in Kigali
Early morning after break fasts you will start to experience Akagera National Park as a Savannah park with Elephants, Hippos, Buffaloes, and Lions. After an early breakfast, we take a game drive in search of these animals, the game drive will take us to the northern part of the park where most of the animals prefer to inhabit and drive back to Kigali for over night and dinner.

Day 3: Transfer to the home of chimpanzees – Nyungwe Forest
This morning we depart from Kigali to Nyungwe forest having our lunch en-route in Huye. We have the opportunity of exploring the National Museum in Huye. After this experience, we continue our drive to Nyungwe top view lodge perched on top a hill for overnight slightly past Nyungwe forest.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and Canopy walk
After an early breakfast, we leave for Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe forest. The forest is rich in botanical diversity and home to 13 species of primates including Chimpanzees, L’Hoest monkeys, and Columbus monkeys. You will receive a briefing from your ranger guide and thereafter start your trek. Later that afternoon or immediately you will take on the canopy walk experiencing the forest differently.

Day 5: From Chimpanzee to Experience Lake Kivu
We leave Nyungwe for Volcanoes national park right after breakfast. Our drive will partly along the Congo -Nile trail with views of Lake Kivu and its Islands on our way, arriving at Gisenyi where we visit the fishing village, visit DRC-Rwanda border (Gisenyi town) and relax at the lakeside in the evening. This will offer the much-needed rest before you embark on the journey to Volcano National Park

Day 6: Mountain Gorillas And Ibyiwacu Cultural Village
Meet the mountain gorillas in the dense jungles of the Virunga ranges. Embark on the trek through the habitat of these enormous animals. Such an unforgettable experience on many people’s bucket list. The trek can last from an hour to four hours depending on where the gorillas nested the previous night – you need to be relatively fit to enjoy this experience. After that, you will back to your hotel for lunch then continue to Ibyiwacu culture village for experiencing Rwandan dance. after that drive to your hotel for dinner and over night stay.

Day 7: Golden Monkey trekking and back in Kigali
Golden monkeys in Rwanda live in the bamboo vegetation towards the base of the volcanoes and habituation has helped them to overcome their initial shyness to accept their daily visit by researchers and tourists. They are very active creatures, and jump from tree to tree which is really interesting and a little difficult to photograph! The golden monkey trek is worth going for while in Volcanoes National Park then after that you will drive back to your hotel in Kigali

Day 8: Kigali City Tour And Flight
Early morning you will drive from your Hotel in Musanze and drive to Kigali late, you will embark on the tour to the Gisozi genocide memorial. This tour allows you to explore the 1994 Rwandan genocide. It features writings and audio presentations that will give you a general picture of what transpired during this horrific event. Finish the activity and transfer 135km (2.5 hours) to Akagera National Park. After a relaxed city tour, we leave for Kigali for your return flight or to your hotel.
